The Timing of Kindness

Inspirational Quote

“You cannot do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Psychology Perspective

Today’s source of daily inspiration is from Ralph Waldo Emerson. He reminds us that we never know when the finality of life will occur. Philosophically, this reminds us that we should always adhere to that most simple and basic, yet what seems to be a rarely implemented rule: The Golden Rule.

Kindness is an act of love. Love, within itself, must be fostered within, amplified to a point of abundance, so that excess may generated as a means to give that abundance to others. We must head this lesson. Especially those in the healing and/or helping professions.

This week, I explored the need to take care of yourself as being a foundation for a positive practical parenting experience. This lesson rings true for professionals as well. If you can’t care for yourself, you will have nothing left to give when you attempt to care for others.

Treat yourself with kindness, and begin to see it transition towards the simple act of showing others the same generosity. In this quote, Ralph Waldo Emerson reminds us that we never know when our last moment with an individual may be. How would you like them to remember you?

Believe, Achieve, and Advance Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams.

Tell me your thoughts or topics you would like explored… I would be happy to work with you.
