Today’s journey is a little change up. I decided to focus this week on the power of smiles. Today, I will combine three wise sayings from three very poetic and wise individuals. The eternal poet, Lord Byron, our lady in grace, Mother Teresa, and the phenomenal Thich Nhat Hanh, who all remind us that the beautiful simplicity of happiness is found in the essence of a smile.

Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us of the binary nature of the smile. When we are down, sometimes we cannot interrupt the nature of our mindset. Smile and see what happens. With practice your mood will uplift. Your joy can be the source of your smile, but sometimes it is important to allow your smile to become the source of your joy.
The Psychology Perspective
Smile… It becomes you. The mind oftentimes deludes itself to believe it is the source of happiness, but emotions do not fall for this rational response. Emotions in themselves are irrational, arise as sources of E (Energy), and must be put into Motion. E-Motion (Energy in Motion). A smile is given to others, but lightens to the Energy within.
