Weight Loss Motivation
I ran into this video this morning. It is an amazing example of how we must challenge ourselves everyday to create the person we wish to become.
I began this journey literally 33 years ago. I was ten at the time. That was the first time I realized that I had a weight problem. I ballooned up to nearly 280 as a high schooler, and then lost 100 lbs. to be able to realize a dream and join the Navy.
In this video David Coggins reminds us that:
You take the easy road, the easy path, there’s a lot of mistakes over there… So for me, if I am not challenging myself every day… the things I don’t enjoy, that I still do, thats where growth is at. That’s for me, the only place growth is at, is in that very uncomfortable zone.
There is such a person in everyone of us. It is up to you to awaken him or her within yourself.
Yesterday, my son asked me to go to Chick-Fil-A. I about freaked out. I thought, Fast Food, how can I do this and not make a mistake? But then I turned to my trusty application from Weight Watchers, and found a way to create my day to where I could stay within my normal calorie intake, and still enjoy a family (fast food) meal with my wife and the boys. Just in the aspect of changing my mindset, I created a wonderful day to share with my family, that even took into account my personal weight loss journey. Open your mind, change it if necessary, and the rest will follow.
