The Power of Positive Thinking

Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.

Zig Ziglar

The Philosopher’s Corner

We all seek inspiration. In ancient Greece, this inspiration came in the form of the muse, that person or entity that sang in tune to the soul’s longing. In life, sometimes we need inspiration from external sources. But it is imperative that we also develop these musings from within. To be inspired is 1/2 the journey. To take that first step from within makes all the difference in transitioning those very dreams we look to be inspired by from a state of etherial presence to become the reality of the life we live.

Ralph Waldo Emerson calls us to examine the storylines of those individuals who inspire us. Emerson and Ziglar, although very different by nature, both tapped into a power of turning external motivating factors into an internal state of Gold.

While life has many ups and downs, it is imperative to focus our time and efforts on attaining the lessons held within the downs and amplifying the ups as a reward system for our hard work we conducted to attain those lessons learned. This form of psychology does not focus on only the positives, instead it honors the lessons learned from the downs while redirecting them towards a more positive mindset and outcome.

Be positive. Even in the light of the negative, find something to focus on that shifts the energy. What lesson is there to be learned from the event you find yourself within? Is is just a projection of negativity towards something that is truly neutral. I want to thank both Zig Ziglar and Ralph Waldo Emerson. They are both very inspiring individuals that can help shift your focus to the more positive base of finding the inspiration within.
