The Best is Yet To Come!!!

Daily Inspiration

Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best.

St. Jerome

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

Sorry I could not do the daily inspiration yesterday. I was tending to my own source of inspiration yesterday. I attended the Oprah 2020 Vision Tour. Wow, what a powerful experience. She is such a source of inspiration to so many people. It truly humbled me to see how a vision, a plan, purpose, and a little bit of passion can awaken that Sleeping Giant within, so that we may take that first step to Advance Confidently in the Direction Our Dreams Take Us.

Thank You Oprah for inspiring me, now it is time to go inspire others.

Today’s quotes come from St. Jerome and Mark Twain. They remind us to always strive to better ourselves. We need to rest, but only when the job is done. This is not an act of perfection, but an act of bettering ourselves along this wonderful journey called life.

The core of psychology can be summed up in two spiritual aspects. Forgiveness and letting go. When we release the weight of the past from the essence of our beings, we can begin to create the vision of our life moving forward. This was one of the core lessons I learned from Oprah’s 2020 Vision Tour.

I practice as a psychotherapist by trade. The goal of any form of psychotherapy is to create an environment where a person can begin the process of forgiving those people and events that had negative impact on their lives. Through forgiveness, we can then integrate the story lines at an emotional level, release them, and then utilize that emotional state to create a plan for the future. Emotions in and of themselves are not negative or positive; they are neutral. It is what we do with them that creates the success stories of our life.

Today, I am committing to be my best. I am committing to create an environment where inspiration is allowed to flourish. I thank Oprah Winfrey for the beautiful day I spent in San Francisco yesterday. I commit to you my readers, to always shine that star of inspiration so that you can find your peace, wellbeing, and happiness in the philosophy that is here.

Thank You… Thank You… Thank You!!!

Yes it is! So why do we spend so much time trying to hold on to what went before?

We spend time with it in order to glean the lesson apparent from undertaking its process. The only problem, our mind needs to be often retrained to grab the lesson and then forgive as a means to let go of the past hurt that effects our present moment.

That is so true and that retraining is a necessary part of any healing.
