Ms. Keller reminds us that the underlying value that drives any form of success in life is courage. In order to develop the essence of character, we must face dis-ease and a calling of mind. This calling can be far from quiet, as the normal course of psychological development occurs through the splitting and mending of the psyche as it strives to make sense of what was, with what is, and what will eventually be.
Sound painful. It can be. This state of affairs is called the schizoid position… and it is a process the psyche undertakes to grow at exponential levels to achieve optimal self growth. It is also the underlying condition that we undertake during adolescence, that tumultuous time when we were not quite children, but also not quite adults yet.
On this day my friends. keep you eyes to the goal. If one is not in front of you, take the time to dream one into being. Even though it may be a dream at this point, it is there to move towards, and this can become the beginning light of something new, great, and exciting. No disability should stand in the way of that dream. Remember, nothing worth achieving has ever been done without the suffering soul needs to be strengthened and inspired to overcome those odds and realize its full potential.
