Inspiration

If you want to be successful, it’s just this simple. Know what you are doing. Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing.

Will Rogers
Believe… The Key to Unlock Infinite Success!

The Philosopher’s Corner

The first step in any successful venture is to believe in yourself. It also helps to have a vision.

Got Vision? Got Dreams? Great!

Every post you read here begins with food for thought, inspiration from brilliant minds of the past and present generations. The post then ends with a prayer of gratitude, that encourages your journey to believe… achieve… and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams. But what does this mean?

In psychology, we sometimes have to delve into the past to loosen its grips on the present. This process of reflection is not by any means the sole purpose of psychology. Instead, it is only one perspective; this arduous work of bucketing up the content of one’s past allows them creates a practice around examining and overcoming delimiting beliefs that can affect one’s present situation. In turn, by loosening the grips the past has on our present situation, we can ultimately direct the future we wish to create.

Fear, oftentimes rooted by delimiting beliefs regarding past failures can cause paralysis in the present. This emotion’s capacity to do this ultimately serves its own end in a vicious cycle where the fear of failure causes the means by which nothing of value is ever undertaken, therefore becoming in essence a fear of success. But this does not need to be the case. Spirituality, history, and philosophy all show paths by which we can learn to circumnavigate the complex nature of the psyche and emerge victorious on the other end.

By rooting the philosophy of old to our present day situation, we see lived history emerge. By exploring this past history, we can correct its course before future atrocities are allowed to root themselves in our present day lives. This form of thought is rooted in choice, Self-directive behaviors, and being accountable for one’s life. This type of thinking is rooted in perspective, or the power that visions can have on our present situation. This type of thought is rooted in belief. Belief in the soul’s capacity to push through the deepest depths of its nature, and transcend to the light of the etherial nature of the spirit’s calling.

Will Rogers says it best. Know what you are doing. This means, be grounded in the here and now; do your best. By loving what you do, you begin to have faith in its capacity to lift you to higher grounds, which in turn creates the belief needed to realize the nature of those dreams in lived reality.

Would you agree?

With many prayers and blessings friends. Believe… Achieve… Advance Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams.

Siddhartha: The Psychology of Realizing our Inner Potential

I wrote Siddhartha: The Psychology of Realizing our Inner Potential as a psychoanalysis of the Buddha’s plight to realize his inner potential. It is based upon the novel Siddhartha, written by the Nobel Laureate author Hermann Hesse. In it, I will take you through a storyline about through the 4 seasons of life.

Like Siddhartha, you too will explore the wonder of traveling through the spring of childhood plight, and celebrate the arrival of summer passion common to romantic love’s delight. You will wax and wane through the Fall of middle-age, sit back and reflect upon the the sun’s night-sea’s journey in Winter’s wise-age. I truly hope you enjoy.
