Hope… A Mark of Inner Conviction

We have always held to the hope, the belief, the conviction that there is a better life, a better world, beyond the horizon.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.

Friedrich Nietzsche

The Philosopher’s Corner

What are your dreams? What lies just out of sight, on the line of the horizon? Imagine if Columbus chose to just believe the world was flat and he couldn’t make it to the Indies? Fears? Of course there was, but that is the simple way out. As Nietzsche said, those who have a why will bear almost any how.

What is your why? In order to get to this point, we must move towards a perspective openly engaged with the who, what, when, where, and how. The why can never be fully answered without the foundation of these other elements in place. But it is the why that moves us in the direction of our dreams, not the other foundational elements.

Why do we do what we do? Faith, belief, dreams, hope? A better world exists on the other end of the horizon. If we only have the courage to chase it.

Do you see it? This is the why behind our collective plight to make this world a greater place.

What is your why? How can you begin to advance confidently in that direction?

Prayers and Blessings my Friends… May you find your why… and don’t forget to Believe… Achieve… Advance Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams!
