A Father’s Guide to Wisdom
Greetings fellow travelers. Carpé Diem (Seize the Day). In today’s wisdom, I explore two wonderful quotes from Buddha and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Its the not the Destination, It’s the journey.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
What you are is what you have been. What you will be is what you do now.
Buddha
At least we think the second quote is paraphrased from Buddha’s concept of Karma. Nevertheless, both quotes remind us that destinations are just one part of the journey.
So, why is it, that we spend so much time and effort on the destination (the reward) versus truly understanding the journey as the reward itself. In this segment, I explore the psychology behind these two wonderful quotes and the profound path to growth each one offers us.
Carpé Diem. With Many Prayers and Blessings. Believe… Achieve… Advance Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams.
