Hope… Love’s Soaring Ascent!

Inspirational Quotes

When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.

― Paulo Coelho

Hold fast to dreams,
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly.

― Langston Hughes

A Father’s Guide to Wisdom

The words of the poets move us at a level that only resonates with the deep sounding of the soul’s intent. Words can destroy, or they can heal. Words can divide, or they can mend. Both are, in fact, possible from the same terms used, for it is in the ear of the beholder that the meaning becomes twisted to fit other aims.

Today, I focus on poets of prose that foster inner hope. Paulo Coelho taught us in his phenomenal work The Alchemist that life’s journey unfolds upon itself, and can be quite adventurous if we allow it the room to be. In this act of loving stride, we somehow better ourselves, and in doing so, we ultimately better the world.

Want to better the world? Isn’t this the foundational root of all progress? If you’re going to create real change, then focus on improving yourself. For it is in the individual work that you do, that the collective can arrive at a philosophy of loving intent, not the need to strive without aim or merit. The outcome may differ, but the road to get there is nevertheless the same.

As Mr. Hughes once said, hold on fast to dreams. As Dr. King once said, “I have a dream.” We all do, right? But how many of those dreams of loving intent do we allow flights of catastrophic descent? Don’t let that bird die. Don’t be the broken-winged that cannot fly. Today I chose Hope, so that I may engage love’s soaring ascent.

Namaste. With many prayers and blessings, I wish you inner peace on your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
