Unlock Your Potential

Inspirational Quote

To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.

Winston Churchill

He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.

Muhammad Ali

A Father’s Guide to Wisdom

Happy Friday, everyone. I hope you had a beautifully inspiring week. Today, I wanted to change things up a little bit and look at inner potential. I think it is a subject we all gravitate to in this beautiful world of blogging, and I hope you enjoy it.

If the sages are right, we are each granted a key at birth, to unlock that inner potential we each are capable. This key goes by many names. Some may call this key God or the thousands of titles we associate with this omnipotent image. We may call it a guardian angel, that friend assigned to us at birth that looks over us in times of despair and hope. In metaphysical circles, this key has been recently called the law of attraction, that source of energy from which all things find themselves gravitating to our life. Still, others may call this Atman, as exists in perfect union with Brahman. Whatever your word, doesn’t it seem that we have a collective yearning to improve and reach our inner potential.

While the need to improve forms the foundation for all physical, psychological, and spiritual growth, frequently, what is lacking is the courage to take risks. To break free from the chains that bind us, we must take the night sea’s journey within, confront the emotions present, and willingly take an active part in the drama we call life.

Winston Churchill was a man that overcame enormous odds. Although he was born to a British aristocrat and an American socialite, he once found himself imprisoned in South Africa. From there, he escaped, and this act of bravery not only formed the foundation from which he molded his life but stood as a foundation from which a county could escape tyranny. No one is perfect, but by attempting to improve, we engage in the brevity of God’s work.

Both Winston Churchill and Muhammad Ali knew much about courage, and the will to persevere. To sit on the sidelines, believing dreams will come true without any effort, will leave you in a desolate place. But to take decisive action, whether it be risky or not, creates the means for improvement to manifest in your life. Neither man attained perfection, but we remember them both for the brave actions they undertook.

Namaste, my friends. With prayers and blessings, may God find you on your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
