To Harvest a Dreams Delight…

Inspirational Quotes

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Dream and you shall become.

Wayne Dyer

A Father’s Guide to Wisdom

Hello my friends. There is some real wisdom here in these lines from author’s Robert Louis Stevenson and Dr. Wayne Dyer. So often we judge the outcome of our work by the harvest it produces. It just sounds right, doesn’t it? You spend the time, you work, and you work hard, it is only just that you receive a bountiful harvest, right?

Well, in a just world, this philosophy rings true. And, I am not here to argue with universal intent. But there is one flaw in the logic of this chain. It depends on human intent, and not the will of the universe.

No matter how hard we try, we cannot attain an apple from planting an orange seed. Yet, we judge the effectiveness of the fruits we bear based upon the seeds we plant. These seeds oftentimes are convoluted with a myriad of dreams, yet to be realized, that pull at the conscious intent of the individual who seeks their fruition. But then we are pulled out of the clouds, and so earnestly reminded to get our head out of the stars, and tend to the soil that grows the produce that puts food on our table.

Why is it that we are so often pulled to give up on the beauty of a dream? Why do I hear the abuses of dream annihilation come so often from those adults that hide under the banner of good intent. Yet they teach the children about the misery of life, filled with malice contempt. There is nothing there, behind those eyes that once gave up the dream, to engage in a life where nothing reigns supreme. I wonder what seeds they sew, and what harvest they will reap.

Dream, and you will become. But no-one, no one will give it to you freely. There is true work in planting seeds and harvesting its crop. But what crop do you wish to reap? What seeds are you willing to plant, in order to realize a dream’s intent.

Namaste. May prayers and blessings find you along your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
