Rediscover the Fire Within

Inspirational Quote

Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.

― Pierre Teilhard De Chardin

To Rediscover Passion

Hello Friends. I hope this article finds you in great spirits with an open heart. Today’s quote is beautiful, wouldn’t you agree? It takes us full circle to rediscover the inner flame that passionately burns in each one of us.

In yesterday’s article, we explored how the nature of God works through the development of our consciousness. Through our spiritual consciousness, God calls upon each of us to make a choice to empty the mind, open the heart, and purify the soul through an act of free will. Yes, this simple act of free will, choice in the direction we will pursue, represents the archetypal poles of light and shadow common to that being we call self. However, the self that one creates does not represent the brevity of the Self one aspires to be, and it is in the self/Self axis that we find the movement of passion needed to drive our life cycle forward.

Consciousness demands that we undertake a journey to navigate, explore, and overcome the internal and external barriers that life will throw our way. The plight to discover personal mastery creates the very means that self-esteem flourishes; from this foundation, one can harness the courage to conquer the winds, the rain, the tides, and gravity itself, as we strive to ascend to heights never before realized.

However, the psychology of myth warns of this ascent. If we climb to high to quickly, the wax that holds our phoenix feathers in place will surely melt, leaving us paralyzed to the fall that will take place. You see, we cannot ascend without descent. This descent is even present in the Apostles Creed.

He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

Apostles Creed

In today’s quote, de Chardin reminds us of the cyclical nature of life. Inner passion is love, but to what end. Love always serves a higher purpose. Maybe that purpose is creation, or quite possibly it is love for life itself.

Man discovered fire by facing his greatest fears. In facing challenges such as this, humanity learned to adapt, overcome, and create avenues from which our inner growth affected the world’s course. What roads can your life journey take you, as you learn to rediscover your inner passion?

Namaste. May prayers and blessings find you along your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
