To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.Anatole France
Happiness is an Inside Job… A Depth Psychology Perspective
The saddest road traveled is one without a destination. Perhaps, the lack of a destination is the symbolic meaning behind the song Amazing Grace. To be lost and yet to be found. What a challenging concept yet familiar concept to grasp, yet one that should be familiar for any person who has suffered during their life. But where do we look? Or perhaps even more important, were we ever lost in the first place?
Every person has a personal journey. They strive to become that which they dream of becoming. Even if the destination is exact, we inevitably bring ourselves along for the trip. While the road of life creates many twists and turns, these make for some interesting detours along the way, creating the means from which fulfillment manifests.
Human belief is a frail thing. Especially if it does not have successes upon which it can build. That is why it is imperative to create ritual in your daily space, to give yourself initial achievements in the morning, so that the minute, the hour, and even the day can take shape in a manner geared to lead your life forward.
Action is key. Take the first step. But take it with the certainty of a direction planted. For that is where the rubber meets the road, and the destination will manifest as you learn to direct your journey’s course.
Today, I give thanks to the Nobel Laureate author of French prose, Anatole France. In this citation, he reminds us of the eternal battle fought within; that battle that buys for the very foundation of our belief. To accomplish anything, we must not only dream but act. This action challenges the very foundation of faith. Yet, the reward for the journey is one of personal belief that we have to overcome any obstacle life throws your way.
Namaste, my friends. May blessings find you on your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
