Happy Wife, Happy Life… Happy Spouse, Happy House

Inspirational Quote

Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.

Rumi

A Depth Psychology Perspective

How often do you look at the lives of others and yearn to have what you see? Our obsession with social media and its counterpart, traditional media sources, create mirrors by which many judge their life. Have you ever stepped back for one minute and think, why we engage in this silly practice?

There is a true danger to media in general. Through entertainment, the media’s capacity to attain and sustain our attention creates the very means by which we begin to judge our life. Yet many remain stagnant in this rabbit hole, while few step outside of its grip to advance confidently in their own direction.

There is a profound wisdom in this Rumi quote. I hope you enjoyed. For me, it brought up the philosophical question, why do we spend so much time examining the life of others? Instead of looking at the beauty of the home the latest star or starlet has, create beauty in your home. This represents a psychology of arriving versus striving, and your soul will thank you for the journey. Maybe, instead of looking at the beautiful family picture of that friend you maybe really don’t care too much about anyways, create a loving memory with your wife or children. Your family will thank you, and your day will probably be somewhat brighter. Happy wife, happy life… Happy spouse, happy house. Thank you Rumi. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Namaste, my friends. May blessings find you on your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
