Monday Morning Meditation

Today… I affirm to give thanks to those most important. Family is a value of Love in Action

Family Values and Food for Thought…

Hello everyone. Hope all had a well rested and relaxing weekend. Thank you for stopping by to take part in this Monday Morning Meditation. This week in the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is a holiday that’s tradition started early in our country’s beginning, when settlers would have died were it not for the gracious actions of the natives to teach ways of farming that could sustain them through the harsh New England winter. As a prayer of gratitude, the settlers offered a feast of thanks, and it is a tradition I am particularly fond of even in my daily gratitude practices.

In this weeks affirmation, I focus on Family. It is the single most important unit we will ever take part in during our lifespan. Whether it is the family we were born into, or the family we chose to create, our journey with others creates the very means by which love nurtures our individuation journey forward. As I get ready to reflect upon what I am most grateful for, my first thoughts go to those that I love… My family.

Be safe everyone, and lets foster an attitude of gratitude. 2020 may have been a hard year, and God knows, we have lost a great deal of people and dreams. But 2021 does not need to be the same. Let’s reflect for just one moment on the things you are grateful for and smile. Let’s see if that smile can spread. Remember, disease spreads where there is dis-ease. Who do you have to be thankful for this year?

Namaste, my friends. May blessings find you on your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Thanks for sharing more. I agree we have found other ways to stay in touch. Technology can be a blessing.

Family will certainly be on my mind this Thanksgiving (and other times as well) since I have been physically separated from them for many months.

I believe this is going to be a collective phenomenon. Part of it is to be grateful we may have another chance to meet soon. I have found that Zoom Dinners, although not the best, at least allow some conversation for a few over drinks or meals which can negate some of the isolation. Keep it positive, and use it for a springboard to welcome in the new. Even in the darkest of winter, spring’s rejuvenating touch is just around the corner.
