Inspiration

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

Oscar Wilde

Thoughts for the Day

My wife is a Taurus. She is also born in the year of the Ox. We often joke about how bullish she can be. It serves her well in her profession for sure. I am a Gemini and born in the year of the Dragon. She frequently has to remind me to come back to Earth and implement the wisdom behind my dreams. We make a great couple. Maybe that is the wisdom behind the Zodiac, that arcane knowledge of energy forces that brings people in line with those universal forces.

I came across today’s quote from Oscar Wilde. I blushed. What a cord it struck within. No, this is not about classism. It is solely about the propensity the human soul has to envision heights yet to be realized, plan, carry through, and advance confidently towards that direction. His quote inspires the soul’s capacity to aspire, even though we know we have yet to be born with wings.

Wisdom of old tells us to “dress for the job you want, not the one that you’ve got.” Great advice if I don’t say so myself. Mr. Wilde reminds us of our lowly position in the gutter of the Universe. However, even from that humble position, we are not stopped to take flights of fancy towards the Stars we aspire to be.

Namaste, my friends. May blessings find you along your journey to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.

  1. desertflower5 – Hi there, I started this blog to express myself. I choose to call it the dessert flower. It's a odd name for a blog you may think. I think it best describes me and my life. You can find a rose anywhere but a desert flower blooms under the brutal sun, harsh dessert, without water and all alone. I think at the end of the day we are fighting for ourselves just like the dessert unsented jewel#dessert flower#
