Inspiration

Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows.

Helen Keller

Food for Thought

In The Northwind and the Sun, Aesop shows us the dual nature of the Father Archetype. In yesterday’s podcast, we explored the boisterous, bolstering nature of the wind, that will bellow, howl, and blow to his hearts discontent, wanting nothing more than to force the weary traveler to remove his cloak. But we soon find out, it is not through egoistic bravado and force that people agree to remove their protective layers.

In today’s segment, I explore the positive pole of the archetypal father through the imago of the sun. In the story, he achieves his aim through the warmth of loving kindness and gentle persuasion. Do you remember similar elements in your father? I hope you enjoy.

Until next time my friends, Namaste. May peace and blessings find you on your journey to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.

In today's podcast, Dr. Thomas Maples explores the archetypes of the sun and shadow, using an inspirational quote by Walt Whitman, who reminds us to always keep our face to the life-giving sun, so that shadows will fall behind. — Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thomas-maples8/message
