In today’s podcast, I begin a psychoanalytic exploration of the Myth of Daedalus, who in his brilliance, built a labyrinth so twisted for his king, not even he could find a way out of its ivory towers.
In the beginning scene, Daedalus is trapped by his own ingenuity. The meanderings of mind often does this, creating the illusion of its own capacity to ascend without putting in the hard work necessary to persevere to greater heights.
Is this a world condition? Do the fantasies of mind and the need to achieve greater heights take over the heart felt endeavors one must undertake to build a solid psychological foundation for ascent? Let us explore.
