In today’s podcast, I examine the beginning of the tale Old Sultan by the Grimm Brothers. Old Sultan is a dog who has served his master and mistress well until he finds himself of no use due to his advanced age. In this analytical exploration of the archetypes present, we will see how it often takes a deal with the shadow aspects of the psyche to create a means from which new light emerges from the wisdom of a life well spent.
