Inspirational Words of Healing

Beauty in things exists in the mind which contemplates them.

A Philosopher’s Corner

I have been told that the eyes are the key to the soul. Have you noticed lately how few times we receive genuine eye contact?

It amazes me to see how hard it is for a child to go out for a nature walk. To sit still in contemplation at a river’s edge seems lost to humanity. Our ability to decompress, to let go and let God do the work of creation that allows beauty its natural place in the world slowly falls away as we are encouraged to be more and more like the machine. Being a healthcare provider, I know that stress, adrenal overload, and hypertension are the gateways to a lifestyle bent upon a nihilistic journey marching to the end. But even when one becomes conscious of this habit, I see it lead directly back to where it came. The tool that captivates, elevates, and can even create works of beauty begins disservice when it too becomes the source of stress that leads upon this march. What gives?

Gateways of natural beauty do not operate at the speed from which we are called to produce. Even nature seems more vibrant when filtered by the technology that warps its natural presence. But does this represent reality when we perceive beauty from the outside in versus the inside out?

Beauty exists in a consciousness that perceives it. I write these words listening to a beautiful violin and piano piece. Art in action, from which I would not have heard if I did not use this beautiful tool. However, in conducting this work, it is now time to debrief, go without, and return to the creative source that exists separately from the four tabs open on my screen. It is time to return home to that nurturing source that unites us all, mother Earth, from which we have all come and will return one day. With that, I pose to you this question. What beauty can you find outside today?

Blessings, my friends. May peace and joy find your hearts as you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
