Inspiration for the Soul

There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.

A Philosopher’s Stone

I have always been fascinated by this saying from novelist Aldous Huxley. It speaks to the relative nature of reality at its finest.

What we believe, we perceive, and what we perceive, we ultimately see. I wear reading glasses. When I remove them, the written world becomes blurred, but putting on these simple frames opens a new world of possibility that was not present only moments before. But that world does not stop with the words on a page. Instead, the limits of that world are not delimited at all. Worlds of possibility exist within those bound pages that yearn to take its reader on an adventure of delight, horror, or even to find a love of one’s life.

There are things known. Or are there? When we get to know something, doesn’t its magical nature close to our all-knowing brain? Yes! But there are still those things unknown. These unknowns even exist in that which we intimately know. It is in that ethereal state that true magic exists. What can we do with the power of perceiving eyes yet to be closed by the mundaneness of knowledge? Only that relative concept called time will tell.

Blessings, my friends. May peace and joy find you on your journey to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
