Words of Wisdom

To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.

Finding Stillness

Wake up. Wake up, young one. It’s time to wake up.

There is all this business, but to what end? Lao Tzu gives us a basic philosophy here, but its depths reach far beyond the fallibility of human rationale. They touch upon the imaginal, that realm where all possibility exists, yet only opens itself to the one who sits with a stillness of mind.

Lao Tzu reminds us that the “Tao abides in non-action, yet nothing is left undone.” This philosophy is nearly impossible to fathom within a Western ideal that gears us to a chronic state of business, serving an illusion that something is complete as manifested by the busy lifestyle we set forth. Yet, in all this business, what are we genuinely accomplishing.

The Secret: Find stillness in mind and heart. Mindfulness of what is, right here, now. This moment is the only one you have, and when truly engaged in its presence, will the universe surrender by opening gateways into being where once there were only barriers—the beauty of a life unfolding, one moment at a time.

May peace find you on your journey to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
