Words of Wisdom

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.
I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

Philosophical Food for Thought

Far too often, we fear failure. But there is beauty to be found in failing forward. You see, failure is a mindset. It doesn’t happen to us; we create success by perception, self-talk, and willingness to persevere. While this is known as a core principle of developing a will to win, success in this manner is very often not sought because of the price it incurs.

We love to look at diamonds. We can wear them, hold them, cherish them, even covet them. However, the beauty contained in that stone is only the after-product of years upon years of extremes, whether it be pressure, heat, or the grinding weight of the earth sitting upon its developing beauty. Not to mention the movement of earth needed to surface that small stone so that it can be worn proudly as possibly a token of someone’s love. That is the process of finding beauty in work to be done, even though that little stone started as a blackened coal millennia before.

Henry Ford and Thomas Edison were both brilliant inventors and businesspeople. They knew that success isn’t necessarily something that falls upon your lap. They strove, worked, and envisioned, and when that vision failed, they envisioned again. They knew the true power present in creating successful lessons from failures realized. What can you do with a simple shift in your perception?

With gratitude. May blessings find you on your journey to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
