Words of Wisdom
You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
Abraham Lincoln
The price of greatness is responsibility.
Winston Churchill
Greatness in Responsibility
Where has the responsibility gone?
As I see so much screaming about rights, what is right, and privileges people feel entitled to, I cannot help but think, where has all the responsibility gone. I am reminded of this as I look at the degrees in my office. All of them have a commonality. Yes, you get rights and privileges that pertain to the degree earned.
Medical practitioners do not get to give legal advice. Nor should you go to a lawyer if you have heart problems. However, things seem convoluted in the entitlement era, where rights exist independent of responsibility undertaken. This cannot be the case.
A right must exist in unison with the responsibility undertaken to realize a privilege earned. Should we not get back to a degree of simplicity here, where rights may be inherent but dependent on the degree of responsibility achieved? Let me know what you think.
With blessings, my friends. May the joys inherent in assuming responsibilities find you as you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
