A Seedling of Faith: Inspiration for a Day Well Lived
When time ticks to sorrow’s grief, we frequently lose our way. One time, maybe long ago, a seed fell to this Earth, and perhaps it was consumed by an endless sea that buys for the most precious commodity we have. But as biblical verse shows, sometimes that seed may land on fertile ground and find its way, yearning to unite with its life-giving force.
Frequently, the world of possibility seems possible only once completed. The certainty that you even began a task gives credence to your willingness to undertake the uncertain journey called life. You can’t travel a thousand miles without stepping foot away from the comforts of your dwelling. That takes courage, that virtue of beauty we don’t hear spoken of that often.
But what does it take to create the impossible? A dream? Yes, but this is only the beginning. A dream must contain mile markers. We must set goals to know exactly where we are along the path of our inner calling. Travel without a destination is wandering, and while that is important in its own right, does it serve the purpose of creating beauty in the life story we write?
Love what you do, and do it well. A well-lived day begins with gratitude for the simplicity of the day given. Faith will show us many seedlings, even flowers; they have all undertaken a journey. Will you smell the fragrant beauty they offer? Or will you miss them upon the heels of your feet as you plow through the meadow to get to that next unknown destination?
Here is some food for thought; what seedling of faith will you plant today?
