Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.
Langston Hughes
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

The Beauty of the Universe (One Verse)
The universe, law of attraction, and manifestation have become popular psycho-spiritual constructs in recent decades. What stands at their base is the act of perseverance. But it is easy to become distracted, especially as machines have become more abundant and possibly more intelligent if you believe the hype that precedes your phone… (smartphone).
All joking aside, what would you do if you had only one-verse? So often, as Ralph Waldo Emerson has said, “Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it.” Yet, far too many seem asleep at the helm of life, yearning for dreams but not moving in their direction.
The rain can kiss us, but it is up to us to see the beauty in its cyclical presence. It works to form puddles, pools, streams, rivers, and oceans; all that Mr. Hughes says is a lullaby that “plays a little sleep song on our roof at night.” Do you love it, as Mr. Hughes did?
We create our darkness. Just look around, and what do you see? Did you know if you see the dark, the simple trait of thought can shift your feelings through action? The premise of psychology invites us to turn those currents in a new direction. Emotions may be irrational, yet, we can shift them by rationalizing a middle path between the opposite pulls that play for our attention.
Even though an emotional state may be dark, with just one step, you may find a light to guide you. Make yourself a promise so that you have something to keep. Then keep it, as our poet Mr. Frost suggests. Let that light guide you to that inner promised place, where direction ignites passion and hope before you sleep.
With gratitude, my friends. May blessings find you on your journey to realize your uni-verse.
