Dare to Dream…

Inspirational Quote

To dare is to lose one’s footing momentarily. Not to dare is to lose oneself.

Soren Kierkegaard

The Depth Psychology Perspective

Truth or dare? What perspectives are possible when one yearns to know the truth. Even more importantly, what possibilities exist if we dare to take that first step into unknown territories, face the fear present, and grab hold of the dreams we yearn to realize?

To dream is a momentous occasion. The nocturnal form of this exercise heals the psyche, the very foundation from which our world soul evolves. The diurnal form of this behavior, the often misunderstood daydream, seems to get a bad wrap. Usually, this form of diurnal reverie impedes one’s attention from what is pressing at the moment, giving the recipient flights of fancy to real or imagined points of varying perspective. Yet, both types of dreams allow the inner soul to touch upon and create meaning for the world soul at large.

How powerful can a dream be? For a species so intent on creating the means to its misery, this reverie-like state is a tool to shift our thought direction and develop standards by which a new image can emerge. These standards form the foundation of the paradise or hell created. Yet the presence of heaven or its antithesis made only began in the ethereal nature of a dream once determined. The responsibility is always ours to make or break.

Soren Kierkegaard is on to something here. To dare is to dream. A vision is present of some tasks not yet undertaken. Grit is the ingredient by which we dare to take on lessons unknown. By daring to dream and taking on the necessary functions to realize its fruition, we ultimately create the means to learn of our strengths and weaknesses.

Thank you, my friends, for reading. As always, may prayers and blessings find you along your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
