The Journey
One thing I have noticed along this journey is the profound change that occurs at the soul level. Since beginning this journey to release weight, I have had to face many habits that have sometimes been bothersome. This is one of the reasons why I chose to blog about this. Not only to share the journey with others, because in essence I do believe we all undertake a collective journey to better ourselves in the end, but also to motivate myself by holding myself accountable to those who read this blog.
There is no external motivation I am asking for here. It is a psychological ploy I created to hold myself accountable to others than me, which for myself, works. The journey pulls you within, tests your merits to make sense of what is there. In essence, we turn to the little boy or girl that tends the ashes of the past, so that we can ultimately learn ways to be in the present as a method to dictate the future we wish to create.
I once heard that Michelangelo released the David from its Marble Imprisonment. What a beautiful concept.
I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.

The Depth Psychology Perspective
To realize Self, we must set it free from the confines that ego places upon it. The journey to release weight comes from a vision within. A vision of the person you want to be. A vision of that person who hopefully is somewhat in a better place than you were when you began.
You shoot for the moon, and even if you miss the essence of your dream, you still exist amongst stars. But the second voice doesn’t focus on the journey, but the destination and fear of failure. It is this voice that me we must learn to calm, in order to find our success. It is this voice that when calmed, leads us to realize all the time it was just a simple act of discipline and effort to turn our vision into a glorious success.
My vision… I grew up with superhero’s such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, loved watching the success of The Rock Dwayne Johnson, and I am inspired by anyone that committed their life to the achievement of the dreams they sought. Weight Watchers has had a profound effect on my journey.
The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

Hey there. Thank you for sharing. I have deep respect for men who engage their Mythic Masculine to become a great father. It is a true litmus of a man versus boy.
