The Philosopher’s Corner
At times, we plan things in advance with no clear idea of the effect it can have. Last week I planned to conduct an inspiration series on Faith. Little did I know, that at the time, we would be faced with the need to foster this aspect of heart in such a needed way.
In analytical psychology, the concept of synchronicity is well grounded. I believe fully that the calling to write on faith happened to me as a synchronistic event. While I have been trained as a scientist and philosopher, it was my faith in my capacity to overcome all obstacles that stands at the forefront in my willingness to help in the psychological arena. This series on inspiration in essence inspires me, and it is something I truly hope inspires you my readers.
I came to faith through the absence of it taught by the physical and social sciences. It was a dark place, filled with the quandaries of thought, but showed little hope in the capacity to move beyond the ever present, racing ideal of mind. But as the poet Khalil Gibran states, faith is an oasis of heart, one the mind can never lead us towards.
Only the intuition of heart can lead us in the direction we yearn to go. With faith, we can overcome and use this time to create something new… something wonderful. Thank you.
