Inspirational Quote
The Universe loves a grateful person. The more you thank Life, the more Life will give you to be thankful for.
Louise Hay
A Depth Psychology Perspective…
Maybe life is truly that simple. There used to be an axiom in the sciences and philosophy. A simple belief cut to the core by the razor of the Franciscan friar, William of Occam himself. “Entities should not be multiplied without necessity.” Or even more simply put, “the simplest explanation is most likely the right one.”
I think the battle between faith and science has now seen the litmus by which a final judgment emerges. Since the pandemic began, we see that humanity’s emotional underpinnings skew even the nature of the illusion of objectivity proposed by science. As delicate as our species is, how can we, as people, remove ourselves from our subjective experience? Yes, this includes but is not limited to our political, religious, cultural, familial, and even those deeply intimate personal experiences.
A new quantum emerges—a physics of endless possibilities. Love, abundance, gratitude, health, wealth, happiness are present. But did they ever leave in the first place? I do not think so; maybe, it was us that were too blind to see.
Biblical texts tell us of a miracle in which Jesus heals a man blind at birth.
As he walked along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’ 3 Jesus answered, ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him. 4 We[a] must work the works of him who sent me[b] while it is day; night is coming when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.’ 6 When he had said this, he spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva and spread the mud on the man’s eyes, 7 saying to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam’ (which means Sent). Then he went and washed and came back able to see. 8 The neighbours and those who had seen him before as a beggar began to ask, ‘Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?’ 9 Some were saying, ‘It is he.’ Others were saying, ‘No, but it is someone like him.’ He kept saying, ‘I am the man.’ 10 But they kept asking him, ‘Then how were your eyes opened?’ 11 He answered, ‘The man called Jesus made mud, spread it on my eyes, and said to me, “Go to Siloam and wash.” Then I went and washed and received my sight.’ 12 They said to him, ‘Where is he?’ He said, ‘I do not know.’

What a beautiful story that is. Here, we see a modern feat, not even medicine in all its wise undertakings has yet to accomplish. Nevertheless, the foundation of this story seems hidden. Yes, the blind man received his sight. But many forms of vision are present. One need not have the presence of a physiological image to have foresight. One definitely can be blind to nature but have an accurate picture of one’s Nature within. While the story is straightforward in its literal sense, symbolically, the man was born blind so that the nature of God’s works would reveal themselves in him. Maybe this is the case for all of us, born into a sin of consciousness, so that we may find the presence of our original Nature.
Universal consciousness aligns our nature with Nature, our being with Being. If God shaped us in his image, something infinitely intelligent exists in the very foundation we wish to understand. It has never left us, for it was there at the start. What would it be to touch upon this inner Nature? How could life transition if we showed gratitude and harnessed the nature of abundance within its presence? It never left, even if we have been blind to see its existence. Live, love, laugh, pray, and be. Find your beauty within.
In today’s citation, I explore a foundational lesson to manifest abundance in life. Louise Hay says to be grateful, and life will give you more for which to be thankful. Be thankful for the ones you love, and you may get another day with them. Be grateful for the laughter shared, and more of it will find its way to you. Be thankful for what is given to you, for this is the nature of God working his presence within you. Be Grateful for what is, and more will manifest itself in your life.
Namaste, my friends. May infinite abundance find you along your journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
