Tending the Depths of the Soul
Love is the natural state of the human condition. Even at a quantum level, quarks operate in symbiosis, not in opposition to one another. Some have called this the law of attraction, others have likened it to new wave psychology, but I pose a simple question: What would the world be like without love?
Maybe we are seeing just that play out before our very eyes. However, it is up to us to find ways to re-ignite the passion around love. If we don’t, we run the risk of experiencing its opposite, indifference and apathy, the very nature of being that tears the soul apart.
Love is composed of a single soul (union) inhabiting two bodies. Two bodies united as one. Looking at a child, we see the gift of creation reflected, yet we do not see the same possibility from within. Maybe it is time we turn our attention within. As psychologists have long shown, we need to heal the personal before taking on collective endeavors. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. I wonder how many weakened links constitute the broken nature of the chain we see manifested in our current reality.
