Merry Christmas everyone. Today’s quote is from Pope Francis, a very wise man that reminds us to be grateful for the gifts we receive. Whether Christian or not, the winter, the time of night, fosters a sense of reverie, a need for self-reflection.
Pope Francis reminds us that God does not give us gifts, or for that matter, hardships we cannot face. We receive Christmas, the light associated with religious joy from the darkest part of the year. As the wise old saying goes, the darkest hour of the night occurs right before the break of dawn, we are reminded to reflect on that which brings us joy… That inner joy of light and peace.
