A Father’s Guide to Wisdom
Imagine… Just Imagine… There is some great words of wisdom here from a beacon of peace and hope to a generation that also once fought for equality.
As a species, we need to be careful what we wish for. The seeds we sew are often the fruits we eat. You cannot plant an apple seed and get and orange tree, no matter how much you will, scream, riot, or protest it to become the case you wish to prove. Why are our values shaped in this fashion?
It’s likely that our values are shaped this way because we crave the crave the out of the ordinary, versus focusing on the love we can generate for what is there. But in order to change, we need to go within, not demand from outside. And this requires work. Acts of loving kindness. Individual work to make something better, not expectation that others will do it for you. We need to learn self love, not sociopathic, narcissistic rage.
Love is inclusive, not divisive. Yet media focuses solely on violence and not the acts of loving kindness seen each day. Just watch one hour of your favorite news outlet, and tell me if you feel any better about the society you live within? Let us demand peace, but sew it with the seed of love instead of violence, anger, and hatred.
Let us experiment. We can always go back to the way it was. But maybe, just maybe, by trying something new, we can create a new outcome. What do you think?
