Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.

A Father’s Guide to Wisdom
To be here, now. That is the way, at least from what the saints of old have always taught us. To be present at this very moment creates the avenues by which the future unfolds upon itself. One need only create the vision, and the steps will surely follow.
This Sunday, I had the honor to see my youngest son baptized in God’s Church. Yes, I am very religious. Catholic by choice, but I see merit in all of God’s works from Buddhism to Taoism. I chose not to divide, but to find God in all that is present, regardless of the symbols particular religions see as representations of this unknown force we call God. The father, reaching into the baptismal font, washed my son’s forehead and gave God’s blessing to his place on earth. What a compelling experience that was to witness and a true blessing at heart.
In our daily life, it is easy to get caught up in the quagmire of past reflections or the alluring nature of future dreams. We frequently forget to smell the rose that lies just under our nose or fail to see points of time that we can sow seeds of love into the awaiting vessel of a person that needs its blessing. But we need not wait for special occasions to remind someone special that we are all children of God’s loving plan. I truly believe this is our vocation here on Earth.
God, make me an instrument of thy loving plan. Where there is hatred, let me find seeds of love to sow into its inner void. Let me find peace in the present moment so that resentment can discover its natural conclusion.
Namaste, my friends. May prayers and blessings find you as you journey to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of your dreams!
