A Philosopher’s Corner
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But when we come face to face with it, will we be able to perceive its grandeur from the mirror that reflects its presence?
I am sorry for the above brain twister. My goal is that by reading it, you automatically go within your consciousness to pull out those small kernels of truth from which you live your life. But that is my point here. Anne Frank experienced true horror and misery within the concentration camp that ultimately took her life. However, as the words suggest, she chose to see beauty in the world despite being surrounded by the hatred and misery she experienced. While the beauty of her soul left us too early, the haunting of a little girl’s words should still beam like a beacon of hope for those subjected to modern-day misery—a small lesson for those that would attempt to have us forget history for similar aims.
Beauty surrounds us. Even in the fiery pits of hell that open upon this earth, can you see the aspects of creation present? I hope you enjoyed this little creation in collaboration with the wise words of a beautiful girl that left us too soon.
May blessings find you on your journey to find the beauty of inner peace you seek as you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
