Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’Martin Luther King, Jr.
Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, ‘Make me feel important.’ Not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life.Mary Kay Ash
The Philosopher’s Corner
Life is a succulent symphony of symbiotic interactions between people. Ever go to a sales person and just feel dirty afterwards. That experience seems to be a collective phenomena. This occurs when we deal with a person whose focus is more on the sale than what they can do to meet our immediate needs. At a core level, the psyche feels the dissonance present, that disconnect between the natural flow of harmony; one, if not both parties will leave this type of interaction with a poor taste about the process in general.
On the opposite end rests true connection. When this occurs, there is always growth present for both parties. This lesson is at the core of the transference and counter transference phenomenon that fosters psychological growth through the analysis of one’s inner dynamics. It takes an attitude of gratitude for what is present, not what will become.
In today’s quotes, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the highly successful businesswoman Mary Kay Ash remind us to just simply shift the energy towards a state of giving versus receiving. Dr. King asks the question, “what are you doing for others?” In a world of giving, abundance is created for all parties present. Remember… Love is For Giving, One Word and Two. You give it, it will come back.
Mary Kay Ash expands upon this philosophy for more than just sales, but gives a life lesson. Make a person feel important, and they will reciprocate the favor. Do this once, and be rewarded once. Do this for life, and the degree of your success will only be determined by the limits you place on your dreams.
Experiment today… Smile at a random stranger and mean it? You will most likely receive one back.
Many Prayers and Blessings friends. Believe… Achieve… Advance Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams.
