A Philosopher’s Inquiry
I am reminded here of Sigmund Freud’s idealized citation comparing the mind of adults to children.
What a distressing contrast there is between the radiant intelligence of the child and the feeble mentality of the average adult.
Sigmund Freud
As a child, I yearned to hear the repetitive nature of fairy stories, myths, and personal tales told to me by my parents and long-lost loved ones. There is a genius there, one that, as I look back, was suppressed by the systematic brick-making process implemented in a K-12 ideology. I cannot help but wonder what happened to that golden ball of enthusiasm as I look back upon the life that was.
Is it there? Of course, it is. It just got lost in the heap of ash that I inadvertently piled upon it. Got attitude? If so, what can you do with it to re-ignite that enthusiastic passion for life?
May your journey be blessed in all your endeavors to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
