Simple Acts of Kindness… What Inspires You?

Today’s dose of daily inspiration comes from two of my greatest sources of inspiration. Dwayne Johnson and Dr. King. Today, on Ash Wednesday I thought it to be imperative to reflect on things that are often missing in our daily life. The first thing that came to me this morning was Kindness and Love.
Where did it go?
Jesus once said:
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Jesus Christ
But where did the love go?
It is up to each and everyone of us to foster love within our souls. No, not the romantic type of love we give to our significant others. Nor am I talking about the unconditional love we show our children. The love and kindness that will drive this force out is the inner work necessary to create an environment that mends rather than divides.
Take time. Reflect. Be silent. Find that inner source of inspiration that moves you. At the core, none of us are different. We yearn, we strive, we hurt, we plan, we engage, we advance towards those goals we so often strive for. But as Wayne Dyer once said, we spend so much time practicing a psychology of striving, that we often fail to realize those special times when we arrive.
Let us practice instead a psychology of arriving. Only then, can we truly be in the space of gratitude needed to mend those often divisive themes that act as barriers for us to create the reality of our dreams.
It takes two to come together, not one to create a mending force powerful enough to allow light to shine from dark, to negate hate, and create loving kindness in the world we operate.
