A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.
– Christopher Reeve
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
– Lao Tzu
The Philosopher’s Corner
Today’s inspiration comes from Superman himself and a man that in his day some 2,500 years would be considered a Superman of philosophy in the far East.
Today, I focused on family and strength. Where there is inner strength, division does not exist. Love is an uniting force of nature. It does not matter which side of the aisle you stand, what political and/or philosophical leanings you may have. These are all paradoxes of consciousness. They exist to allow both side to scarify, and become stronger in essence by finding the middle path present between the two.
A hero is a mother and a father who cares about their children. They face overwhelming obstacles daily to take part in life’s greatest task, raising a new generation. Despite the difficulties present, they must hold that middle ground and unite the daily divides that life affords them to create the wonderful person that envision their child to become.
As Lao Tzu wrote some 2,500 years ago, it is through love that we develop the inner strength to realize that ideal Self that we always sought to become.
Thank you for reading fellow travelers and I look forward to our next meeting.
