Inspiration
And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.
― Roald Dahl
The Philosopher’s Corner
WOW… I ran across this quote yesterday and it absolutely took me aback. This in essence is a philosophy of wonder, a philosophy of dreams, a philosophy of open gratitude for what is.
What a wonderful story teller this man truly was. With such beloved books as the BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Matilda as part of his list of literary accomplishments, his journey to tell stories shows the true heroism behind a child’s capacity to simply look to what is, and see the true beauty of life’s secrets unfolded.
In today’s inspiration, a degree of mystery is present. That is because, with adult eyes, we oftentimes loose focus on what is around us. In this quote, Dahl reminds us to look at the world around us with glittering eyes… the eyes of childhood if you will, because it is here that the greatest secrets are unearthed. In psychological terms, this amounts to bucket work an adult must conduct to find their golden ball as the Poet Robert Bly would remind us from the story Iron John: A Book About Men.
Missing your Golden Ball? Missing some Magic in Your Life? Let us return to a place where miracles are seen and felt daily, even if in the form of a butterfly crossing your path.

I wrote Siddhartha: The Psychology of Realizing our Inner Potential as a psychoanalysis of the Buddha’s plight to realize his inner potential. It is based upon the novel Siddhartha, written by the Nobel Laureate author Hermann Hesse. In it, I will take you through a storyline about through the 4 seasons of life.
Like Siddhartha, you too will explore the wonder of traveling through the spring of childhood plight, and celebrate the arrival of summer passion common to romantic love’s delight. You will wax and wane through the Fall of middle-age, sit back and reflect upon the the sun’s night-sea’s journey in Winter’s wise-age. I truly hope you enjoy.
Prayers and Blessings my Friends. Believe… Achieve… Advance Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams.
Great Job. I did not know you were doing your thesis. It is a very rewarding experience. The book Siddhartha is actually the research I did with my dissertation. These things do create the essence of who we become in the future, but it is through lived experience that we learn the true wonders associated with life. Great to hear from you.
This post deserves this song. I hope more people can find themselves in the middle of their pure wildest hearts.
Beautiful video and Thank You! I look forward to seeing what you have done. It has been awhile. Homeschooling my children and the dramatic increase in mental health since COVID 19 has kept me away from reading much. My morning times while at the gym were taken from me, so, adapting to a new life that is being created. How are you doing friend?
I am glad you and your family well. I am well too, writing my thesis for my mastership, and my final work for the post-grad in neuroeducation. I still work out every day and finishing some things at the company to leave it completely.
I am the Wonder Woman 😉
