Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are travelling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind.Henri Frederic Amiel
A Depth Psychology Perspective
As I age, I realize the actual brevity of life. Today’s source for our daily inspiration comes from the Swiss philosopher, Henri Frederic Amiel, who reminds us that even though life is short, what can we do with that time given.
Like any exercise in philosophical discourse, Amiel presents us with a paradox. He brings light to the idea that we travel an often blinded journey through the dark, reminding us that love is the way and kindness is at stake. To warm others’ hearts, we must make a concerted effort to move away from the darkness that pulls us within. From these inroads, we make sense of what lies beneath so that we can empathize with that collective journey to make light out of the dark matter afforded us.
Life is short. How can you warm the heart of another person today? With just one step, maybe even one word, a personal shift of consciousness can lead to collective results. Be kind; it’s a habit of loving awareness.
Namaste, my friends. May blessings find you on your journey to believe, achieve, advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
