What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.

Thoughts for the Day
What lies inside of you? So often, I see that humanity’s focus is on the outside. Reliance on others, material items, drugs, or other vices stand at the root of life’s purpose. But is this truly the case?
Wayne Dyer once spoke or a psychology of striving. But to what end are we striving? I see this as rampant. However, it only became prevalent to me after the quarantine worked to slow time down. While COVID has had a detrimental effect on countless families, in essence, it clearly taught me one lesson. What exactly are we striving for?
As a psychotherapist, I work extensively with dreams. Not only the nocturnal dramas that play out in our head, healing the psyche of accumulated stresses, but also with dreams of what we want from life’s purpose. You see, the psychology of striving is dependent on these dreams, and in essence, they give us the plot line to watch life unfold. But these story-lines also form the very source of the stresses that can derail the soul from its inner gold.
What can we do about this? Well, let us focus on nurturing the elements of those dreams with the clear intent to grow from them. While this is not full-proof, living a life with intent not only allows one to arrive at their goals, but also allows them a sense of inner purpose that mirrors the gold to come.
What elements behind you need to be let go of? What elements before you cause you unwanted anxiety? Focus on the here and now, and see what inner gold you find in the moment.
Namaste, my friends. May blessing of inner potential find you on your journey to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
