“A friend is someone who helps you up when you’re down, and if they can’t, they lay down beside you and listen.”Winnie The Pooh
The Psychology Perspective
A loyal fan said this week “what a wise old bear.” How true is this statement. I began my week with Inspiration from Winnie the Pooh, and I am ending my week with inspiration from the same “wise old bear.”
There is something so enduring about our capacity to learn from children’s stories. As adults, we complicate things too greatly. Thus the exploration I did into the book of Genesis… I hope you enjoyed.
What is most imperative about today’s quote, is that it reminds us that God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. We don’t need to solve people’s problems, we only have to listen… and oftentimes the problem solves itself.
A true friend does help when we feel down. A truer friend listens, allowing you the space to grow… oftentimes just through the simple act of listening. Whats your friendship story for the week?
