The Wisdom of Unity

Inspiration

Wisdom is nothing but a preparation of the soul, a capacity, a secret art of thinking, feeling and breathing thoughts of unity at every moment of life.

Hermann Hesse

The Psychology Perspective

Today’s quote is from one of my favorite novelists, a man whose book Siddhartha greatly affected the course of my life. A man that speaks of our psychological journey to find wholeness. A man himself that went through many trials, tribulations, and twists in the trail to find his essence of individuated consciousness.

Hermann Hesse was a Nobel Laureate author that wrote in a manner that shows the capacity the human will has to allow the soul the capacity to transcend and find its inner essence, its inner sense of connectedness, its capacity to realize itself in union with a higher power, a higher purpose.

In this quote, Hesse reminds us that the soul prepares itself through the functions of thinking and feeling, and moves this energy through the simple act of breathing, into a form of consciousness that unites those divided constructs of the soul that our fall into consciousness creates.

What’s your story of union? Emotional or Spiritual?

  1. My Journey is about coming out of negative mindsets of individuality and the male tendency for compartmentalizatoin. IE: the separation of mind from body, body from emotions, emotions from spirit. We are holistic beings in a holistic cosmos. Connected by design.
By thinking this way one is fighting against connection, community and unity. God is out there and in here, in me.

    Best,

    • Hello there. Thank you for your words of support. Negative mindsets and compartmentalizations are uniquely difficult things to deal with. They lead to disconnection with the divine that lies both within the masculine and feminine modes of consciousness.

We are holistic in essence. We all fall into a consciousness that would divide and compartmentalize. This is a human trait, not a masculine and/or feminine trait. In working through this phenomenon, we learn ways to mend those divisive ways, transcend to higher levels of consciousness, and unite self with Self. Thank you for the comment.
