The simple act of gratitude… It truly changes the world. Everyday we are exposed to life giving light, yet do we give it thanks. We are provided with life giving air, yet for many we don’t take the simple time to show appreciation for the miracles abound in our life.
I was first exposed to this quote by Hafiz through the works on the Tao by Dr. Wayne Dyer, a personal favorite. It struck me, the fact that I am able to simply see, breath, and feel the life giving warmth of life that surrounds me is a miracle unto itself.
If everyone of us that read this article today showed gratitude for just one hour, how many people would we affect. Maybe, just maybe, it won’t stop at just them, but can affect the world at large. What do you think?
