Optimism… A Faith Unto Itself

Inspiration

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

A Father’s Guide to Wisdom

Got Hope? Out of all the day to day focus on the negative, there are miracles abound. We just lost sight of where to look for them.

Yesterday was my son’s birthday. 11 years ago, I became a father for the first time. I had no idea what I was in for, even though I had studied for nearly a decade the ins and outs of developmental psychology. As I have matured, yes, it is a never-ending journey, I have found that hope and faith are not found from outside sources. It is like coming to the doctor and them prescribing you medication to give to your parents, your boss, or your friends to treat the needs you present within their office. Does this make sense? I don’t think so. But that is the way many people will approach their day to day lives, as they seek to find hope from some outside source that will answer all their needs.

Instead, let us focus on what lies within. What wellspring does your hope lay within? What is the source of your confidence?

Every one of us has a gift. many may have lost it early on in our educational journey. But just because it lays dormant, does not mean it is lost. It is simply up to us to find it, and nurture it back to its natural glory.

Got hope? I think we all do. It is just a matter of finding it within the depths of confidence lost. What is your source of optimism? Today, I yearn to inspire others to believe, achieve, and advance confidently in the direction of their dreams. With many prayers and blessings my friends.

  1. Ah,reminds me of the quote from the movie Shawshank Redemption.”Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”
