Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other.

Food For Thought
Today, I explore one of my favorite concepts. Patience has never been one of my strengths. However, as I age, I begin to see that the real wisdom behind the idea of perseverance is not a brute determination to create one’s will. Instead, it centers on our willingness to engage in the many short races life affords us in a patient yet persistent manner.
I have heard that life is like a fine wine. Even though I may not drink the substance, I may be able to liken it to a fine ale. They say that it gets better with age. What are your thoughts? Has life become better as time has moved forward?
For me, I see value in engaging the race. But the race is never about the woman or man that is in front of you. It is always about that voice of reason between your ears, pushing you forward to realize the brevity of your dreams.
Namaste, my friends. May the beauty of many blessings find you on your path to advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
