Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.

Be Present, Here & Now…

Ever wonder where depression comes from? Ever yearn to curb that anxious feeling?

Theodore Roosevelt’s words are a definite starting place. You see, it is all about perspectives. Future focus without present grounding equates to an anxious mindset. Past focus without paying heed to the present moment creates that sinking feeling of going within and losing ourselves in that considerable baggage that always follows us. What can we do?

Be present… Yes, that means learning to let go of whatever it is that is back there. Go on a retreat, maybe have a friendly conversation, or perhaps even go to therapy to let that bag just be. Whatever you have to do to leave it, just let it be there, right where it is, in the past. Luckily, it’s back there, and that wake will never steer your ship.

Secondarily, formulate a vision for your future. Stick with it. Considerable attention is given these days to the law of attraction and manifesting. But this only occurs when we pay unwavering attention to what we wish to see. As Napoleon Hill once said, if your mind can conceive and believe it, it will ultimately achieve it. But again, the achievement happens in the current moment.

As Mr. Roosevelt has informed us, keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground. It is in dreaming that we awaken a world of future possibility. The present moment unfolds by engaging a path forward, leading us to heights, even as high as the stars.

Namaste, my friends. May blessings find you as you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams.
